We offer a wide range of catering services using top quality food and beverages. Working together, we can customize everything from light snacks and coffee to full service banquets.

Ordering

Step one: Book your room

To book a room, please contact Facilities Management.

Step two: Review our policies

We require 2-3 business days notice of simple catering requests and 5-7 business days for specialized menu requests. Confirmation of guests must be guaranteed two business days prior to the event. Groups over 100 people must guarantee their guest count five business days prior to the event. 

Once your service has been finalized, minor modifications will be accepted up to two business days prior to the event. Although we will make all effort to accommodate your requests, we cannot guarantee additions or changes to your order outside of this time frame.

These policies apply to all orders booked online, via e-mail, phone or in person.

Cancellation policy:

  • For groups of less than 75:
    • Cancellation 24-48 hours before the event will result in 50% of the contract total being billed.
    • Cancellation less than 24 hours before the event, will result in 100% of the contract total being billed.
  • For groups of 75 or more:
    • Cancellation five business days before the event, will result in 40% of the contract total being billed.
    • Cancellation 24-48 hours before the event, will result in 100% of the contract total being billed.

Delivery and staff charges:

  • Delivery in the same building as The Commons at Saskatchewan Polytechnic: No charge
  • Delivery to satellite campuses: $10
    • Includes all food and beverage delivered to room — we will knock on the door to ensure product is received.
      • Booking the room and arranging for the appropriate number of tables to be set up is the organizers responsibility through facilities.
      • Food placement is the responsibility of the organizer.
      • Includes chafing dishes, if required.
      • Retrieval of equipment used.

Delivery with set up and tear down includes:

  • In the same building as The Commons at Saskatchewan Polytechnic: $20
  • Satellite campuses: $30
    • Booking the room and arranging for the appropriate number of tables to be set up is the organizers responsibility through facilities.
    • Hospitality Services will set up of tables for food/beverage service.
    • Linen placement (if ordered separately).
    • Food placement.
    • Includes chafing dishes, if required.

Staffing:

  • Staff charges, when required are a minimum of $90 per event, charged at $30 per hour.

  • Phones will only be in operation during events.

Food intolerances and allergies:

  • Hospitality Services is committed to the satisfaction and safety of all our guests. Although we do not have an allergen-free kitchen space, we take every precaution to ensure dietary restrictions are met. Some manufacturers may change their procedures or formula without our knowledge, and availability may fluctuate. We cannot completely guarantee our products are allergen free.
  • It is the responsibility of the guest with dietary restrictions to make the final judgment whether to question the ingredients and choose to eat the product offered to them.

Food safety:

  • All items remaining after the event are the property of Saskatchewan Polytechnic Hospitality Services. Following provincial food safety guidelines, food will be removed from the room after service with perishable items removed 60 – 90 minutes after delivery. All food should remain in the room of service upon completion of event.

Gratuities:

  • Hospitality Services does not accept gratuities.

Payment:

  • For Saskatchewan Polytechnic internal org charges:
    • All product delivered to the event will be billed for on the day of your event. Your Org# will be charged through our POS system for the full sum of your request. You will receive a receipt by email. A copy of this receipt will also be sent to AR for processing. If changes need to be made, please let us know by emailing, replying to all, within 24 hours so the changes can be made, and billing is correct.
  • For external events:
    • All catering requests must be paid in full by cash, debit, or credit card two business days prior to your event. Any incidentals after initial payment must be paid at the time of your event.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic equipment:

  • Equipment used to service your event is owned by Hospitality Services and the Hospitality and Tourism programs. All equipment placed in a room should stay in place and be removed only by Hospitality Services staff. If pieces of our equipment are missing or damaged after an event, we will reconnect with the event organizer and a charge for full replacement cost may be issued directly to the org. This includes carts, service equipment, service utensils as well as plates and dining utensils.

Mother Clucker
  • turkey, spinach, pea shoots, sun-dried tomato pesto, mayo, applewood cheddar, kaiser
Humpty Dumpty (lacto-ovo vegetarian)
  • classic egg salad, lettuce, thick sliced bread
Herbivore (lacto-ovo vegetarian)
  • falafel, roasted peppers, pickled red onion, arugula, spinach, pea shoots, sun-dried tomato pesto, spinach tortilla
Double Up
  • double stacked ham, cheddar & swiss cheese, mayo, ballpark mustard, shredded lettuce, kaiser
Classic BLT
  • smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, mayo, kaiser or flour tortilla
Croissant-wiches
  • ham and cheddar or turkey and swiss, shredded lettuce, butter
Crispy Chicken wraps
  • In assorted flour tortillas:
    • buffalo: ranch, franks hot sauce, shredded lettuce, cheddar
    • caesar: bacon, shredded lettuce, parmesan, caesar dressing
    • bacon ranch: shredded lettuce, cheddar
    • bbq: onions, sweet peppers, shredded lettuce, cheddar
